Kyle Odom is a former Marine and former student at North Idaho College who gained national attention in 2016 after he allegedly shot Pastor Tim Remington outside his church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Odom then fled the scene and led law enforcement on a manhunt before eventually being captured in Washington, D.C. He claimed that he attacked Remington because he believed he was an alien in disguise and was part of a vast conspiracy that threatened his life. Odom was found not guilty by reason of insanity and was committed to a mental health facility for treatment.
